Button Flowers Blooming!!!

Check out my GIVE AWAY!!!

I've seen these button flower arrangements all over Etsy, and thought to myself, "I can make those".  So I did.  They are super easy, and take hardly any time at all!  In theory your kids can help too, if the new Titan show wasn't on, mine might have?

Photo off Etsy.

I collected all my stuff and sat down on the kitchen floor, that way if my children did need me or want to see me, I was right there.  Of course, Titan won, mommy lost.

Then I sorted the buttons in little stacks of four until I had twelve bunches.  I ordered my buttons from an Etsy shop of course!  You know me an my addiction to Etsy.  Anne put this collection together for me, her shop is Fran's Button Corner.  She has a great selection of buttons, and will work with you to do a custom listing too, and she is super friendly and a fast shipper.  I had my order in two days!

I bought some floral wire for $2, and have enough left over to last a couple years!  It's very simple you just thread the buttons on the wire, starting with the smallest button at the top and then twist the two wires together after you've put on as many buttons as you want.  I cut mine off so they would fit the mason jar I had and then presto chango, done.  Just repeat until you've made all the stems you want.  I made 12.

TaDa!  They are blooming in the kids bathroom, I felt like something was missing.  These add the right amount of color and whimsy.  The kids haven't even noticed them yet!  lol

I just wanted to share my kitchen craft mess!  I'm working on three more projects to show you in the next few days.   It didn't even bother me, I felt productive, the mess can wait.

However, I did straighten it up a bit!  lol  And I started to prep a project.

Thanks for stopping by and 'spelling' the flowers!  xx

Where I'm partying this week!!!

Tammy, that is really cute. Question... did you already have the buttons? I have been looking for a big supply of buttons so I could make a couple bracelets, maybe try one of these would be fun, etc. But I can not seem to find a good assortment anywhere.

I wondered how that was done and now I know.

Soon As I get the groceries put away and the kitchen cleaned up I am headed to the studio and try and make some for a friend for a gift.

Isn't blogging great?
