I should be sad...but I can't help but laugh...

Is it possible  that my Karma is on vacation?  Was I bad in a past life...did my Dogma EAT my Karma?

So here it goes.  My extended hard drive took a dive onto the floor.  The data recovery folks told me best case, it'll cost 200-500 bucks.  Yep that's in U.S. currency...not clams...don't even ask worse case.

If I don't do it, I've lost every picture I've taken since last MAY!  10 months GONE!  Cross your fingers for me, I'm mailing it off Monday.  Right after I mail it off I'm gonna head over and buy some zip drives and back everything up twice.

I was using an off site company to store my pictures, but in May I stopped uploading them.  I've been 'too' busy.  That is not the case now, now I will make sure to upload them every time I download them off my camera.  I'm just glad I did them up until May.  10 months gone is better than 7 YEARS!

Then my SANTOS was delivered in TWO PIECES!  SIGH.

I'm not gonna let it crush me...I'm just gonna shake my head and smile...Tomorrow will be a better day!

Oh that sucks! I hope it works! I only recently started backing up my blog too. I need to do better about backing everything else up. I'm wondering about that Carbonite service.

When it rains it becomes a downpour. I don't think it will help but Don Jr told me how to find pictures on your computer if they are gone. I'm not sure if it applies to what's going on with your computer now though.

Think positive, I guess. You know the saying, when life give you lemons make grape juice. Then sit back and feel legendary.

Tammy, I feel your pain! My karma is missing as well! And has been--for WEEKS! Today's my birthday--and I feel every bit of it + another gazillion (health issues and all i can do is cry). Pictures? Here;s my story: my hubby wanted photos from my computer to his. In trying (he knows enough to be dangerous)...he not only managed to disorganize what I had spent DAYS organizing...he also duplicated them....4 times. I have pictures on flash drives that are mia, two laptops and now an external hard drive as well...if you find a great organizing solution...please let me know! Hang in there! GOOD thoughts and prayers.

It is horrible to lose photos! I had the same thing happen, (and now I'm going to sound like a commercial, sorry) but I had Carbonite which automatically is continually backing up my files to their location. No kidding. I do NOTHING but pay the $55.00 per year to have them do that. It's well worth it, for when my computer crashed and I got my new one, I just went to Carbonite and they downloaded all my documents incl. photos to my new computer. It is SO worth the money!

It would be nice if Carbonite paid me for all the times I've recommended them to people, but alas...

Have a great day! :-)

sorry that happened. I have to 2nd the Carbonite suggestion above. It backs your computer/photos/etc up every day, automatically!!!! I upload a photo, and just a short time later, it's backed up to carbonite!!
