In Need of Some Design Help.....I'm Rather Needy!

This lovely is sitting in the garage waiting for me to make up my mind....poor thing might be there a while.  =(
'To Tuft or Not To Tuft?" That is the BIG question!

Crazy, but I could only find two blog inspirations.  You would think they would be all over the place, and maybe they are, and I couldn't find them.  You can go here to check out this first example by the Little Green Notebook.
And for the life of me I can't remember where I found this one, SORRY!  These examples are both tufted, I couldn't find one that wasn't...like I said before I could only find these two.

Here is an example of one that isn't tufted.  Not terribly exciting, I know, but I thought you would like a visual aid.  I'm leaning toward tufted, but would like some opinions.

I know I'm going to paint the legs black, my new favorite color.  The fabric is another dilemma.   I know I will use something colorful and with a pattern of sorts.  If I don't tuft it, I think I want to cover it in a burlap type fabric and paint it to look like a vintage grain sack.  Here's a rough idea of the sack idea, see more visual aid.  If you want this pillow you can find it here.

Wow two links in one blog, and a second blog in one day!  Who knew I had it in me?  lol

Laundry, Anyone?

Laundry is a chore like any other, but wouldn't it be nice to have one of these rooms to do it in?  I can't stop thinking about having my own laundry room.  I currently have a laundry closet, and of all the things in my home, I HATE it!  The next house will have to have a laundry room, but until then I will dream.
I love how the counter goes over the machines, and they are tucked back flush with the cabinets.

The colors and wallpaper are great.  I definitely want color in mine.  These counter tops don't suck either.

This storage closet is perfect, and I love the siding on the wall.

Dreamy!  I love this, I think I want more color in mine, but this has everything I could hope for.

I want a sink for sure, and I'm digging the skirt, pretty and functional.

These are just a few of my inspirations.  It's pretty sick that I dream about my laundry room?!

A Few Current Finds

This coffee table is going to be transformed in the next couple weeks.  I recently discovered that I needed a tufted ottoman for the living room.  Really, I need one.  lol  I got this baby of craigslist for $20!  SCORE!
We had a coffee table many moons ago, but the kids kept running into it.  I figure this way if they run into it, it won't hurt them and I can still have a coffee table.  I will HAVE to hunt goodwill or some other such store for a tray I can refinish to place on top of it.  I don't think it would be very functional with out a flat surface of some kind.  And really?  What kind of project would it be if it didn't lead to another!!!  HA!!!

This was Big Lots find yesterday.  What a cute bamboo frame, I couldn't pass it up.  It was a little pricey at $7, but it's going to fit perfect in my bathroom.  That is, after a good white washing.  I swear 1/2 the stuff I buy has to be tweaked.

I bought this to store pictures in, they were starting to take over my closet.  One of these days I'll post a picture of the closet, I actually don't hate it.  I just need to 'clean' it up a little first.  Maybe I'll start on that today?  Maybe.

Fall Leaf Buffet Runner...NO SEW!!!!

Okay, so I didn't fall of the face of the Earth I've just been busy.  I hope you like this NO SEW project I came up with.  I'm rather proud of it myself.  I was going to sew it together and then thought what if I want to use them for something else?  Safety pins to the rescue.

I was going to buy these at Walmart for $3 each, but instead found them at Big Lots for $2.50 each.  Let me just say, I love Big Lots!  I've never been before, but I will be back!!!

Okay, so I placed them in the order I thought they would look good, to get an idea of what it was going to look like finished.

Then I got out my handy dandy safety pins.

I used two for each connection, wanted it to lay nice, especially where they hang over the sides.  I didn't want them going crazy on me.  Let me tell you, this only took like 5 minutes.  This project isn't hard or time consuming.

Here it is in place, I wanted you to see it before I put all my holiday stuff on it.  Yes, I'm decorating for Fall already.  Those of you who know me know this is a big deal, I have never decorated for anything other than Christmas and I only did that for the kiddos.

TA DA!  Love it.  This makes me happy!

Here it is again from another angle, so you can see my adorable pumpkin sign.

I have more Fall stuff to share, not a ton.  I did get into the spirit of Fall more this year than EVER!
Thanks for stopping buy, and please let me know what you think!
