Finally, Full Living Room Reveal!

GIVE AWAY!!!

I've been want to post pictures of everything I've changed in the living room, but I had an order of pillow covers that just never wanted to be delivered.  Then finally, they arrived!  Glad that's over.  I hate waiting for my orders to show up, the whole if and when can be a little unnerving. 

That is one nice thing about going shopping, you bring your purchases home the same day, but some times I find better deals online and some items you just can't buy at a chain store. 

Well, finally I  can show you what the downstairs looks like today!  Here are a few before to show you what I've changed exactly.  I really just wanted to tone down some of the red.  I still love red, and will continue to decorate with it, it will just be in smaller doses!

Red prints that I bought to literally fill the space, I was never in LOVE with them.  They are not missed.

Last night before I went to bed I snapped this one.  Lighter curtains, and pillows.  I kept the red throw, cause it's too soft, and I didn't want to get rid of all the red.

I took this from the dining room, my red ladies have been replace by my barn photo collection.   Do you see my sad lone St. Patty's Day decoration over the fireplace?  Sad I know.

Then I decided to take a few shots this morning with natural light, and lets face it, I'm not a photographer.  I think I'm gonna have my dad take pictures of my house next time he visits so I can have some good ones!

Now the red prints have been replaced by pillow panels.  Cool, huh?  I love how they look like grain sacks.  I framed them in the same barn wood frames I used for the barn photos.  Still not loving the lay out on the buffet, but I'm working on it.

Here's the dining room, nothing has really changed in here.  I just wanted to give you a larger view with my new art work.

I'm so glad those dang pillow covers finally arrived so I could show you the entire room.  I'm going to have to work on my patience, turns out it's not a virture of mine!  Thanks for coming by! xx

Living Room Updates

I wish I could say it's DONE, but I'm still waiting on one final delivery.  Let me tell you this, I better be in love with these pillow covers, cause it's taken 4 weeks and they still aren't here!  Just to clarify, I'm not a demanding Etsian, I know some shops are busier than others, but I was told it would be a 2 week turn around.  In my head that means 2 weeks, not 4.   Enough said.

I'm still super happy with the direction the room is headed, and in my opinion it's looking purdy good.

Then remember when I asked you to vote on picture layouts?  Layout E got the most votes, even though I didn't Pinky Swear to use the winner, I did.  You guys were so right on with this layout.  Great job!

Here's a close up, I love the frames, and art just pops in them. 

Not a lot of changes going on here.  I replaced the green candles with these orange ones.  I just shopped the house.  I own a ton of candles...I'm good in a black out!  lol  Then I took the clock from the buffet that is behind the couch.  I really like it here, but am considering a really cute bird clock I saw at Pier 1 the other day.  We'll see.

Buffet area behind the couch got some love too.  To save my life I couldn't find a before picture, sorry.  These are pillow fronts that I framed.  I contacted the Etsian and asked her if she would just sell me the front panel.  She said yes, and art was born.  Check out her page Jolie Marche, I'm totally in LOVE with her pillow covers.  I may actually have to order covers next time.

Let me tell you this, the fabric is so soft, if I could I would recover my sectional in it!  Top quality.  I thought it was cool that they looked like vintage grain sacks.  BONUS.

I'm still at a loss for what to do on top of the buffet? I found a really cool apothecary cabinet I could replace the silver holder with?  What do you think?  Any suggestions are helpful.  I mean really, seems like you guys are the ones decorating my house, I just take your advise!

Thank you for all of your support,  I adore all of you!!  I like to spoil you too, so for hitting 150 I'm doing another GIVE AWAY!  Woo Hoo.  Who doesn't love to win stuff?

 I was going to wait until I could reveal my living area, but I swear the frames I ordered are coming snail mail....sigh...Yep the give away has a little to do with my posts about 'Wall Hangings'. 

My Dad, the fabulous freelance photographer is donating some of  his work.  Thanks Dad, you are the BEST!  I've been trying to get him to open an Etsy shop, I even offered to run it for him...he's pondering...

I guess it's the day job and the side job that have him a little busy.  He also writes AWARD winning software in his free time...What can I say, I'm a Daddy's girl to the core!  lol

I love old buildings and barns, so when he offered, these are the ones I requested.  So here are the offerings.

This is just a sample of the color option.  Some people don't like black and white, all of these can be done in your choice.  How cool is that?
