Patio Update!!!

Remember many moons ago when I asked you to vote on fabric?  Well the pillows have arrived!  The are GORGEOUS!  I'm so in love with them. 

I bought them online from this fabulous Etsian, This Little Home.  She is super friendly and helpful, and totally custom.  I wanted Euro Shams, and she didn't even blink, well she might have but I didn't see it. 

Don't they look comfy!  Okay, so I haven't gotten to far with the patio.  I think  I wll buying a little table this weekend, but not really sure what else to put out here.  What do you think?  I need stuff for the walls, but what?  There's so much color now!  lol

Horsing Around!

So I placed a bid the other day on Ebay, and I "won" some great fabric.  I love how they say you won, but you still have to pay for it!  I'm so new to sewing it's not even funny, as a matter of fact I sent my Bestie an email begging her to come down next week to give me another lesson.

The problem is, I don't sew often enough and I forget stuff, and I hate watching dvd's of how to, I want someone to show me.  Insert Bestie!  She's loves me, hopefully enough to come give me a lesson.  I'll have to have to  help her paint something in return. 

Today I had to go  it alone, and it was okay.  My bobbin did run out at the end, so lucky me I have pre-filled ones.  I've forgotten how to fill the bobbins, and thread the machine, but it's all good, I just use neutral tread for everything!  lol

Here's a close up of the fabric, I'm in love with "The Hunt", and anything with horses.

One of the best things about the fabric, it's in panels.  Very easy to cut out and I "won" two yards, so if you would like some pillows let me know.  I never thought about what I would do with the other 10 panels!  lol

Joann's had a 40% of sale on pillow inserts, so I bought 2 of the 18x18.  The pillow covers are slightly smaller, but I wanted them to be really fluffy. 

Ta Da!  Pillow #1, I made them with envelope backs, I just used a plain light brown cotton fabric.  Nothing special, but it did the job.

Both pillows at home in my living room.  I just showed the living room reveal yesterday and I'm already making changes.  I swear it's never ending, and I love it! 

Seriously if you'd like a panel or two to make your own pillows let me know and I'll pop them in the mail to you.  The panel would be cool framed too.

Finally, Full Living Room Reveal!

GIVE AWAY!!!

I've been want to post pictures of everything I've changed in the living room, but I had an order of pillow covers that just never wanted to be delivered.  Then finally, they arrived!  Glad that's over.  I hate waiting for my orders to show up, the whole if and when can be a little unnerving. 

That is one nice thing about going shopping, you bring your purchases home the same day, but some times I find better deals online and some items you just can't buy at a chain store. 

Well, finally I  can show you what the downstairs looks like today!  Here are a few before to show you what I've changed exactly.  I really just wanted to tone down some of the red.  I still love red, and will continue to decorate with it, it will just be in smaller doses!

Red prints that I bought to literally fill the space, I was never in LOVE with them.  They are not missed.

Last night before I went to bed I snapped this one.  Lighter curtains, and pillows.  I kept the red throw, cause it's too soft, and I didn't want to get rid of all the red.

I took this from the dining room, my red ladies have been replace by my barn photo collection.   Do you see my sad lone St. Patty's Day decoration over the fireplace?  Sad I know.

Then I decided to take a few shots this morning with natural light, and lets face it, I'm not a photographer.  I think I'm gonna have my dad take pictures of my house next time he visits so I can have some good ones!

Now the red prints have been replaced by pillow panels.  Cool, huh?  I love how they look like grain sacks.  I framed them in the same barn wood frames I used for the barn photos.  Still not loving the lay out on the buffet, but I'm working on it.

Here's the dining room, nothing has really changed in here.  I just wanted to give you a larger view with my new art work.

I'm so glad those dang pillow covers finally arrived so I could show you the entire room.  I'm going to have to work on my patience, turns out it's not a virture of mine!  Thanks for coming by! xx
