Stanley!!!

He really is just the sweetest puppy ever!  I just love him, I'm going crazy waiting to bring him home!  Until then, I'll just share more pics.  Oh and anyone that would like a "Stanley" of their very own, the breeders have two males left.

He's either yawning or trying to bite Miss Purple on the tush!

Chuck E Cheese Birthday!!!

If you are reading this, then you know I SURVIVED Chuck E Cheese, but only barely!  Really, it was touch and go.  I want to know one thing, where's my ribbon?  We should organize a walk for survivors.  I'll make up t-shirts and take donations!

I will say this, I would rather have a party and Chuck E Cheese than one at my house.  Maybe the next house will be big enough, but I'm not sure if that will make a difference.  I'm all for having some one else clean up the mess and get everything ready.  Really all I had to do was show up with the presents and cake.

I also drove a few kiddos.  I didn't want any of Connor's friends to have to ditch, so I drove some to make sure he had all his friends there.  So worth it, but so is my boy.  Connor is the sweetest son a proud mommy could ask for.  I LOVE you buddy, to the Moon!

Highlights From Party #34

I'm a day late, so right on to business!  Here are this week's highlights.  Don't forget about my feature button, on my button page.  Thanks for partying with me, I love checking out each and every one!

A little extra, we saw Stanley again today.  It really is hard waiting for Saturday to roll around, I can't wait to bring him home.  We even bought him a couple toys and little toy bin.  He will probably be the most spoiled dong ever!  lol  He's starting get his teeth, and he's eating soggy puppy food now.   Walking like a pro too.

Look at the sleepy eyes!

 What a sweet profile.

Love the little tongue, puppy kisses are the best, puppy breath and all!

Update on the girl child, she's fine, but she did have a concussion.  I'm sure it's the first of many, poor accident prone child of mine!  I remind her every day to keep her eyes open, especially outside.  lol

I don't have any current ones of her, but had to share this one of her rolled up in a rug.  What silly little girl.

Have a great weekend!!!

Say it with me...."Mom of the YEAR!!" um..."NOT!!"

I didn't always want kids, but then one day I did, and the rest his history.  Then after having kids I told myself, "as long as you are better than your own mom, things should work out fine."  Maybe that wasn't the best jumping off point.

My egg donor was like a bad made for T.V. movie mom, REALLY.  Think Mommy Dearest meets some horrible episode of Animal Kingdom where a lioness is eating her young, then multiple by 5, I was lucky to get out a live.  I guess looking back I should have said something like "just try your hardest, and when that isn't working try harder!"

Well yesterday I dropped the mom ball.  Lauren, got hurt, and let me point out she is fine, just a little bruised.  (however I am taking her to the doctor today to be sure.)  The "MOM of the YEAR" part, I laughed at her pain, but not really her pain, her story of her pain.

My poor sad girl.

In my defense this is how her story went, between sobs on my lap.

Me:  (running to her as she was coming into the house)  What happened?
Lo:  I got hit by a car!  (she was playing in our front yard, she's only allowed to go a few houses in either direction and is not to ever cross the street)
Me:  (freaking out, seeing red, ready to kill)  You got hit by a car!
Lo:  YES!
Me:  Where?  Who's car?
Lo:  Your JEEP!
Me:  Wait?  My Jeep?  The one PARKED in front of the house?  (this is were the Mom of the year part came in, I LAUGHED, out loud!)

Then it went all Biblical and she finally fell asleep in my bed, crying, thrashing and gnashing of teeth takes a lot out of you.  It made it really hard to watch NCIS too.  C'mon it was the season opener!

Okay, I'm off to try harder...:)

Meet Kuzack's Closet, Week21

Hi, I am Amanda from Kuzak's Closet.  I am so excited to be guest blogging for Tammy today. Type A is one of my favorite blog sites, I look forward to her Anything Goes Party every week!

I started my blog in 2009 after my husband and I relocated to California, I thought it would be a great creative outlet for me and a way for me to stay in touch with my friends and family.  I have a full time Professional Organizing business and often share my favorite organizing tips and tricks and client before and afters.  In addition to organizing I write about topics that my friends and clients enjoy like fashion, recipes, and a little bit of my daily life.

I help my clients organize a lot of spaces within their homes,  toy rooms, living areas, kitchens, closets, and much much more.  Here is a taste...

Junk Drawer into Makeup Heaven...
Creating a jewelry nook in an old laundry cabinet...

I also help my clients organize their paperwork and streamline their home offices...

I also love to cook and bake and I believe that being organized with your budget and your pantry will help you save time and money.  Here are a few of my favorite treats...

As an organizer I am in so many homes and I often give advice on furniture placement and basic design.  From time to time I share my favorite furnishings and accessories on the blog.  Recently my husband and I moved into a larger home and we needed to furnish a living room in a flash.  I love to shop but this room wore me out!

I even dabble with a little DIY, this is my Trash to Treasure table...

Thank you so much for having my guest post Tammy!  I hope you all have a wonderful and organized week and don't forget to stop by and visit Kuzak's Closet and say hi!

Amanda, thanks for being a guest today, I just love your blog.  It's just what my type A heart loves!  I hope my home is organized as yours, one day!

Highlights From Party #33

A little update on our puppy Stanley, he's finally opened his eyes!  We get to see him tomorrow.  It's rough the kids want to go everyday, but ever Saturday until we bring him home is all they get.  Lauren was in such a bad mood after we left last week, I hope we don't have to do that every week!

On to the best part, highlights from last week!

So there you have it!  Grab a button if you like, it's on the button page.
Thanks for partying with me and making this post possible!

And I should point out, I forgot about the Baby Pickel Give Away completely.  I don't know where my head is these days, I will do a post tomorrow with the winner!  DOH!

Union Jack Furniture and Paint Advice!!!

Recently I went to a really over priced furniture store, and saw the coolest coffee table.  It had the Union Jack painted on the top.  It was a little bright for my liking, but inspiration has been hatched!

I was the last person to us ASCP and now I'm the last to use the Union Jack in my home design, okay so I'm not a trendsetter.  (and apparently slow.)

Here are some examples that I borrowed from various internet sources.

Meet Mr. Stanley.

Ooooh, aaaahhh!  Isn't he adorable!  We haven't brought him home yet.  He's only 11 days old, his eyes aren't even open.  I took the kids over to this lovely couple today, and met there Vizsla babies in person.  Lucky for us they are pretty close by so we will get to visit him every week until we can bring him home.  His expected bring home date is October 25th-ish.

We can't wait to bring him home, Lauren cried when we had to leave.  I prepared her too, but after holding him she had a hard time letting go.  She wants a girl too, but I told her we would think about it for next time.  One at a time baby girl, puppies are work, but he's so worth it!

Thanks for stopping by and meeting our newest family member.

Give Away at Designed by Chance!!

My friend is having a great give away over at her blog, Designed by Chance, go check it out.
It's for Memory Software, how much fun is that?!  Good Luck!

Highlights from Party #32

Keeping with last week, I've moved this post to Fridays, for now.  I'm a little busy hording furniture in my garage, really I have an illness.  I just can't seem to stop getting a great deal.  Hubby if you are reading this, everything I've acquired is for the next house and I practically stole it all.  Just another reason why I need a three car garage and a bigger house....

On a side note, the family has decided to expand, yep....a puppy.  I'll do a whole post on it tomorrow, me and the kids are gonna go put a deposit down and pick out our little guy!

Enough about me here are the highlights from last week!

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Labor Day!  Ours was uneventful, but in a good way.  I have started working on Lauren's room, so I will have new pics to show you of some of the changes I've made.  Just when I thought I was done with her room!  Ha!

Okay, on to the good stuff...

Meet Handy Man, Crafty Woman, Week 19

smaller banner

Hi, I'm Laurie from Handy Man, Crafty Woman.  Thanks so much to Tammy for having us guest post on her blog today!  Tammy has a beautiful home, and I just love her decorating projects.  I love how she made a cool Star Wars themed room for her son.

My husband Rob and I started our blog in 2009.  We have one son, and we live in New England.  We've been married nearly 14 years (our anniversary is this month), and the house we live in now is the third house we've renovated.

One of our favorite projects in our current home was renovating our stairway.  We tore out walls, ripped up carpet, and rebuilt the whole thing!  It was a lot of work, but we're not afraid of hard work.

Highlights from Party #31

Okay, so this was due Wednesday, blogger was being stupid and I couldn't see me party links....I'm sure I could have figured it out, but I'm not that computer savy.  If you want something found, I can find it, I have mad skills in that department.  However, that's the extent of my computer abilities.

Okay, so here are few highlights from last weeks party!

Thanks so much for partying with me!  If I feature you, I have a button on my button page you can grab.
