My First Chalk Paint Piece!!!

First off, I can't tell you how excited I am to be doing a post about an actual project.  It feel like years since I painted anything, touch up painting the walls doesn't count!  (even if it does keep me very busy!)

I feel like the last person to us Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.  Finally, I've used it, and like everyone else I LOVE it!  It was a little touch and go at first, and the wax is gaining my admiration, but in the end, I'm beyond pleased with the products.

I really like the hand painted look of the piece, which says a lot, I usually go for a flawless finish.  This is the first piece in my house that I have actually hand painted with a brush.  The rest have been sprayed.

Well, I'm gonna stop singing the praises of ASCP, and show you my finished piece.  I hope you love it as much as I do!

Check out the cute model!  Isn't she adorable?

Yep, no more yellow, here's the before.

Again, the after.  Oh, and if you are wondering I used Duck Egg.  I love it!  I can't wait to try French Linen when it comes out.  I really think I'm gonna be making a lot of changes to the down stairs.  I have a lot of paint left, so who knows what I'll paint next!

Thanks for checking out my 'new' piece!!!

It looks beautiful! And you're not the last one to try chalk paint - I think I am! I bought a piece today that I want to use it on. Would you recommend it? Was the process difficult? Enjoy your new piece!

That really came out nice. I don't have any projects planned but that sure looks like a great one. Your little model is sure getting taller since I last visited.

Love it! so glad the yellow is gone lol. It's beautiful and the matte finish is so soothing compared to the glaze.

Love it! I've had my eye on the duck egg color. I just used chalk paint for the first time this week too. Loved the painting...not so much the waxing! But the finished piece is worth it!
