Oh my it's been a good week around here, a gift from a friend and two AWARDS!  Wow! 

Tanyia at Surviving Motherhood gave me a "Stylish Blogger Award".

Susan at Tea Diary gave me a "Kreativ Blogger Award", my first.

You ladies are awesome, and I appreciate these more than words!

Here are a few fun facts about me, like you guys haven't heard enough!  lol

1.  I'm afraid of the open water, I may never go on a cruise.  The Titanic has ruined me for ocean liners.

2.  When I was pregnant with my first born, Connor, I gained 95lbs! (I weighed more than Beefcake)

3.  My favorite cartoons are Ben 10 Ultimate Alien and Avatar: Last Airbender.  I've seen every episode.

4.  I'm in LOVE with Mark Harmon and Gerard Butler

5.  If you want to make me mad, ask me the same question more than once after I've answered it. 

6.  I would love to visit Turkey and Greece.  I dream about it.

7.  Do not for any reason, HONK at me when I'm picking my kid up at school. 

8.  I have an ornery side, and I fear I will be a grumpy 'Old Lady' someday.  Watch out!

I may not exactly stick to rules, to the letter. lol  (well #1 is the most important one, right?)

7 Random things about me.

1.  I have an aversion to all things White.  White can become dirty and this is scary.  So White is kept to a minimum, unless it's in a place that I know it won't become dirty.  Which really translates, to the kids aren't near it often or at all!  lol

2.  I don't like the beach.  There I said it, some of you are shaking your head.  I know, it's weird.  I love to look at the beach from a safe distance.  It's very pretty, but sand is the worst natural substance on the planet!  I think I like molten lava more.  I should also mention, the sand in Costa Rica isn't all that bad.

3.  I will not eat tapioca pudding, and you can't make me.  I'll leave at that, the why is almost as disgusting at the tapioca itself.

4.  I hate getting a mani/pedi or facial, and love them at the same time.  I don't like people to touch my hands, feet or face.  It's hard to explain, but it takes every fiber of my being not to leap out of the chair or off the table when I'm having these done.

My Newest Love, Brown Transferware

I just wanted to show off my new plates.  I'm in love with them.  Funny, this time last year I would have walked by these babies and never paid them any notice.  My style tastes have changed so much in the last 12 months, now when I'm out I look for Brown Transferware and a few other things I would never have looked for first!  I'm still on the hunt for the perfect dough trencher and kitchen canisters...I have a couple leads.  I'll share with you down the road.  =)

The best part?  They appear to be English in style, since they depict 'The Hunt'.  I'm really loving English, French and early American right now.   Don't mind the price tags!  lol  I haven't gotten around to hanging them up yet, so I haven't bothered with the stickers.  Believe it or not, they were only $9 a plate.

My First Award!

I'm so excited!  I've never won anything before...I'm actually blushing!  lol 

Dani @ Drops in the Bucket gave me this...and it's made my day. Thank you so much!   I'm pretty new to blogging, and being crafty, so to have some one other than my Dad like me this much has put me over the Moon!

Okay, seven things about myself....

1.  I started going gray on top at 17! 

2.  I drink ice coffee, no matter what the temp is like outside.

3.  My favorite time of day is morning.  I love the quiet.

4.  I think I'm super funny.  (lol)

5.  Until December 2009 I didn't own a hot glue gun, and was scared of it when I brought it home.

6.  In the last year I have tripled the amount of furniture in my home.

7.  I'm addicted to craigslist and Goodwill.

Good thing it was only seven....I'm not sure I had eight in me...
