Fitness Friday #6, Kristi Approved Plan New Pricing!!!

I just got an email from my affiliate Kristi Approved, Live the Life, they have new pricing.  Let me tell you, it's a crazy good deal too!  My Phase I with meals and execise plan was $150, now it's $39.99!  If you buy all four phases at one time it's only $99.99.  See, crazy good deal.

It's environmentally friendly too, now you can get everything online!  You can still order the booklets for an additional fee, but who doesn't love paperless!

The best part, you can buy just the meal plans or the meal and workout plan combo.  Which I think is great, a lot of us know how to exercise, but we aren't good at the nutritional part.

It's really easy to get started too, you just choose your membership and then you choose your phase.  They have four phases.  I'm currently doing Phase I, but plan on doing all four, specially now with the new pricing.

Phase I - Weight Loss & Build Habits.
Phase II - Weight Management & Sculpting
Phase III - Refining & Strengthening
Phase IIII - Mastery & Maintenance

They even have an app for your phone now!  How crazy is that?  I may have to upgrade my phone!

What I'm Eating Week #5

I can't believe I'm already starting week five?  It really is flying by.  Week 4 was easier than I expected, it was the lowest calorie week for me, but I still didn't have to have any extra meals to get by.  I think my stomach is shrinking.  I still haven't felt hungry and my cravings for 'junk' are pretty much gone.  I still can't watch the food network, but some day.  lol

Meal #1
Tropical Sorbet (shake)

Meal #2
Eggs & Berries

Meal #3
Banana Butter Cakes
I really love this!  Rice cakes with Almond butter and banana!!!

Meal #4
Chicken Berry Salad

Meal #5
Fruit Snack and Cream

Meal #6
Crunchy Southwestern Omelet

All very yummy, I didn't even have to substitute anything this week.  I liked it all.
Let me know if you want any of the recipes.  I'd be happy to share.

Thanks for stopping by!
xx

Monday's Measurements Week #4

Wow week four finished, feels great.  The meals and exercise are starting to become more routine for me, in a good way.  I know what I have to do, and I make sure to give myself the time to do it.  Even the kids help, Lauren loves to workout with me, and they both want to try everything I eat.  Of course they only try it, so far nothing I've made has been to their standards.  I just can't compete with chicken nuggets, mac and cheese and turkey hot dogs...oh well.

I'm afraid my photography skills have not improved as I would like, but these will have to do.  I haven't learned my lesson with the horizontal stripes either!!!  Doh.
My new weight is 164 lbs, for a loss of 3lbs and 3.25 inches!!  Woo Hoo, trucking right along.
We'll start at the top and move down.

Shoulders 39.5/39.5 = 0
Chest  36.5/36 = -.5
RT/LT Biceps  11/11~10.75/10.75 = -.5
Waist 31/30.5 = -.5
Hips 40/39.5 = -.5
RT/LT Thighs 23.75/23.25~23.25/23 = -.75
RT/LT Calves 14/14~13.75/13.75 = -.50

My total after four weeks is 11 lbs and 14.25 inches lost!  Slowly but surely I will make my goal.  Thanks for being my support team!  xx

I was going to figure out how much body fat that equals, but I'm still working on how to do that.  lol  If you have and suggestions, I would appreciate it.  I'm probably over thinking it.

What I'm Eating, Week #4

Don't let the names of these meals fool you.  The 'Ice Creams' are really protein shakes, but they are yummy, so it's okay to call them 'Ice Cream', it's as close as I'm gonna get to the real  thing for a while, so it's all good.  The calories took a bit of a dip this week, but I'm still getting through the days without adding any extra meals.  I've passed the wanting to eat out of boredom phase too.  Now I realize when I'm just hungry.

Excuse the awful pics!  I should just take a class or something, I fear I'm not getting any better at this!  Sad thing, my Dad is an awesome photographer...I guess my apple flew across that orchard!
Meal 1
Crunchy Pumpkin Ice Cream

Meal 2
Blueberry Pancakes & Eggs

Meal 3
Nuts & Cheese & Fruit

Meal 4
Zesty Chicken Rice Bowl

Meal 5
Chocolate Ice Cream

Meal 6
Chicken & Bean Burrito

If you want any of the recipes let me know, I would be happy to share 'em with you.

Today is the last day to enter my GIVE AWAY, so head on over and enter.  I will announce the winners tomorrow at my 'Anything Goes Party'!  Good Luck.  xx

Monday's Measurements Week #3

Okay Week 3 done!!!  Woo Hoo!  It feels really good when I finish another week knowing I tried my best.  I can tell I'm getting stronger everyday, and working out is no longer a chore.  I really look forward to it now.  They do say it takes 21 days to make something a habit, I guess they are right.  Another bit of good news, the cravings are slowly going away.

My new weight is 167 lbs, for a loss of 1 1/2 lbs and 3.25 inches in week three!  I think the weight loss would have been better, but it is 'that time of the month' for me.  Sorry if that is over sharing, but it does effect weight loss.

This is all the pics this week  too, I just can't figure out the light and it's the only one that turned out.  Please ignore the hair, I just finished working out, so I'm a mess!  (I'm kind of always a mess...sigh.)

We'll start at the top and move down.

Shoulders 40/39.5 = -.5
Chest  37/36.5 = -.5
RT/LT Biceps  11.25/11~11/11 = -.25
Waist 31.5/31 = -.5
Hips 40.5/40 = -.5
RT/LT Thighs 24.25/23.75~23.75/23.25 = -1
RT/LT Calves 14/14~14/14 = 0

My total for the three weeks, 8 lbs and 11 inches!  Yippee, that much closer to shorts and swimwear!!!  Oh, and great health, it's like the icing on the cake!  (I miss cake, but not as much as last week!)

One last reminder, Live the Life is still giving everyone 50% off their products.  Just use the code "LIFE2LIVE" at checkout.

My GIVE AWAY is still going on too, I will announce the winners at my 'Anything Goes Party' on Wednesday.

What I'm Eating, Week #3

Don't forget to take advantage of the 50% off promo going on over at Live the Life.

I'm on week 3 of my Kristi Approved Program.  I'm still tweaking the food, within guidelines.  I'm not a picky eater, I just don't like some things.  Broccoli makes me gag, even thinking about it.  So I tweak, no biggy, I'm still getting great results

Meal #1
Strawberry Shake

Meal #2
Cheesy Egg Tacos

Meal #3
Jerky and Island Smoothie

Meal #4
Grilled Chicken Sandwich

Meal #5
Cottage Cheese, Low Fat Crackers and Veggies

Meal #6
Hawaiian Pizza

Let me tell you I'm in love with a couple of the meal this week.  Each week I have two or three that I could eat all the time.  Hawaiian pizza is one of them, so yummy.
Let me know if you want any of the recipes, they are all super easy to make.
Thanks for stopping by!! xx

Monday's Measurements Week #2

Okay, so week two is behind me.  This plan is not hard, but I would be telling a half truth if I didn't mention my cravings...yep I have cravings.  I'm not sure what it is, but I would love some chicken fried steak, or Tacos al Carbon....yummmy.

Not that I'm pattying myself on the back, but I haven't cheated once on this diet, and now I'm wondering if that is it?  In the past I've only had one cheat meal a week, but this go around I'm not doing that....hmmm.  If it doesn't pass I may have to feed the beast a little snacky poo...=)

Here's the front view, no horizontal stripes this week!  lol

Side view.  Yep I'm thinking black is my color!!! lol

My new weight is 168 1/2 lbs, for a loss of 3 1/2 lbs in week two!

We'll start at the top and move down.

Shoulders 41 inches ~ 40 = -1
Chest 37 inches ~ 37 = 0
RT/LT Biceps 11.25/11.25 inches 11.25/11 = -.25
Waist 32 inches ~ 31.5 = -.50
Hips 40.5 inches ~ 40.5 = 0
RT/LT Thighs 24.5/24 inches ~ 24.25/23.75 = -.5
RT/LT Calves 14.25/14 inches ~ 14/14 = .25

Little recap, I lost 3lbs and 5.25 inches the first week.  Second week I lost 3 1/2 lbs and 2.5 inches, for a two week total of 6 1/2 lbs and  7.75 inches.  I'm like the little engine that could....chugga chugga...  Okay, so why did I lose less inches this week?  Cause I'm replacing fat with muscle, which is a very good thing.  Remember, slow and steady wins the race!!!

Check it out, I'm being featured today at The Birthday Blog!!!  Woot Woot!!!

Sommer over at Designer Garden is having a give away, a piece of my Dad's photography!!!  I think his work is pretty awesome, so check it out!

Thanks for stopping by!  xx

What I'm Eating This Week, Live the Life, Kristi Approved Meal Plan

I'm on week two of the Kristi Approved Meal Plan.  You can get a sample here if you sign up for the 7 Day Challenge.  It's totally free to sign up for the 7 Day Challenge too, and since I extended the Live the Life Phase 1 Give Away to this Sunday you still have time to enter!

Meal #1.
1 scoop protein powder, I use vanilla
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup water
6 ice cubes
1/4 cup Fiber One cereal
Blend. Eat. Enjoy. (sorry about the picture, I drank most of it before I remembered! doh)

Meal #2.
1 egg and 2 egg whites scrambled
1 cup frozen peppers and onions
Thaw the peppers in a colander under warm water.  Heat the pan with some Pam cooking spray, add the peppers, cook until warm and add the eggs.  Scramble.
1 pear core removed and cut into sections.
I added some green Tabasco to my eggs, but you add some salsa if you wanted.

Meal #3.  Chocolate!!!
1 South Beach meal replacement bar
1/2 a fruit.  I choose 4 strawberries.
Week one was apples, bananas and grapefruit.  I didn't feel like repeating any of these.

Meal#4.
1 cup green beans.  I buy frozen, they last longer than fresh.
2 oz chicken breast
1/4 cup black beans
1/3 cup barley
2 tb Stubbs bbq sauce
It actually calls for broccoli, but the plan lets you substitute, and green beans were allowed.  This is one of my favorite meals on the plan so far.  I love bbq sauce.

Meal #5.  Cheese!
1 wedge of any flavor of Laughing Cow Cheese
16 low fat Wheat Thins
1/2 cup shelled edamame beans.
I love cheese, and this is the first week it's been on the plan, so I am very happy!

Meal #6.
3 oz chicken breast
2 tb brown rice
2 tb pinto beans
1 tb corn
chopped romaine lettuce and baby spinach
cucumber, onions and bell pepper
2 tb salsa
You could use black beans, but I already have them in  Meal #4, so I opted for pinto.  Fat free sour cream is allowed too, but I had my share last week, and I really don't like it.  So no fat free sour cream for me.

I know all the meals look and sound really small, they are.  This is a really healthy way to eat, 6 small meals every day.  I haven't had any hunger pains.  The program does allow for extra meals too, if you are still hungry, but I haven't needed any.  I could eat out of boredom, but who couldn't?  The also have an entire section so substitutions, and each week has it's on section.  If you don't like a meal, or an ingredient, it's not hard to find a replacement.

Thanks for stopping by and checking it all out! xx

Monday's Measurements ~ Week 1 Done!!!

Live the Life Give Away has been extended till this Sunday.

Okay, so week one went by pretty smoothly.  I didn't cheat on my diet once and I exercised six days in a row, with Sunday off to rest my muscles.  I learned a couple things too, I'm going to have to tweak the diet.  I love the food, but I need a little more variety.  No biggy, the plan shows you how, and I'm gonna follow the plan.  Another nice thing, I actually saved money on groceries.  I couldn't believe it either, but since I'm following a strict plan, I only buy what I need for the seven days.  No extra junk, just what ever the kids eat.

Okay so here are a couple new pics, it's only been a week so the difference isn't drastic, but give me a couple weeks and I'll knock your socks off!
My new weight 172, 3lb loss in first week.  Pretty good for the first week.  Remember it the beginning you are also building muscle, but that's a good thing.  The larger your muscle cells the more calories you burn, and smaller your fat muscles will end up.

So here is the front view.

Side View.

Rear View.  Maybe next time I won't wear horizontal stripes?

We'll start at the top and move down.

Shoulders 41.5 inches ~ 41 = .5
Chest 37.5 inches ~ 37 = .5
RT/LT Biceps 12/11.5 inches ~ 11.25/11.25 = 1
Waist 32.5 inches ~ 32 = .5
Hips 41.5 inches ~ 40.5 = 1
RT/LT Thighs 24.5/24.25 inches ~ 24.5/24 = .25
RT/LT Calves 14.5/14.25 inches ~ 14.25/14 = .5

My inches lost for the first week are 5.25.  I always loose in the hips and waist last, so not really surprised.  My middle area likes to hang on to stuff.  Oh well, off to work out!!!  Here's to the same great results next week!!

Wasatch Women Ad for Live the Life and an Update...

I just found this great ad for Live the Life in Wasatch Women, you can see it here.  Live the Life posted it on their Facebook page.  I've never read this online magazine before, but I did take a second to flip through...click through it?  It looks really interesting, it's geared toward women, and our crazy busy lives.  If you check it out let me know what you think.

Next item of business.  Please don't forget my link party starts tomorrow, Anything Goes.  Link as much as you want, just have fun.  I can't wait to see what every one has been up too.

Now a diet update.  I'm really trying to keep this to a weekly post, but I wanted to share a couple things.  I obviously made it through the first day, nope didn't die from the lower calories.  I actually wasn't hungry, of course I could have eaten out of boredom, but no hunger pains.  Which is a GOOD thing, I hate being hungry.

My last little tid bit is about the supplement they want you to take prior to your work out, Nitric Oxide.  It is suppose to help you work out longer and harder.  I didn't buy it, instead I bought L-Arginine.  This is the main ingredient in Nitric Oxide, and I wanna just say, it WORKS.

I thought I could tell the difference yesterday when I worked my little heart out, but I know for sure it worked today.  My poor little girl got up at 2 am this morning puking her every lovin' guts out.  Needless to say, after changing the bedding, cleaning her, the bedroom and bathroom up, not once, not twice, but THREE times, and did I mention the four loads of laundry that I did before 8 am?  I was so tired this morning, I just new I wouldn't be able to work out, but I did and I feel great.  So there you go, my little update.

Thanks for stopping by, I'm gonna go climb in bed with the kids and watch a movie and relax.

Please ignore the lack of sheets, they are load 5 in the dryer, yep she puked in bed.  (a lot)  See the spot in the middle?  It's for me, so that's were I'll be until dinner.  =)
